Don't wish to hi-jack my other thread, so will answer a few of you here

QC - only if the cricket's on.......which it is....every year.
Here is one for you QC. My youngest sings a Xmas Carol about Santa and his "6 White Boomers" (down here Santa dosn't use Reindeer, instead 6 big white Kangaroos, called Boomers).
A guy by the name of Rolf Harris wrote and sang a neat song about them. Far better than all those other crapxy carols that are realeased each Xmas (jeeez if Sir Cliff Richards does another this year I will............)
Anyway Rolf is the same guy that has just painted an official portrait of the Queen, get this, "with a smile on her dial". Looks brilliant. Takes an Aussie Artist. Queen seems perfectly happy with it too.
Love the Xmas card RPJS. Very good. When you get here you won't know the Okker team. We lynched a few of the bumms.
Cheers
Phillip

Cheers Phillip.

My other little comment was about something I read (can't find) about rules in Oz for Santas. Stuff like: must keep both hands visible at all times, no lollipops, parents must be asked before a kid goes on the knee etc.

I may be in Oz when you guys all decide to go back to work. That's why I was checking. Probably not as far north as you, but I might be in Aldo's neighborhood . . .

Are you not just the clever one Ray....
And here some were thinking otherwise of you.
That is very good indeed.

Many years back, some Okker got caught selling Kangaroo Meat mixed in with beef, (probably in to the American market - probably a lot healthier than beef too), following which some Kiwi changed the words from the song you quoted to read
"tie me stake to the plate mate.
tie me steak to the plate.....etc

Cheers
Phillip
