I've been searching and searching and can't find any posts that look like mine. What is it? And are there any good restores on it? Not exactly a nice boat but good for fishing. I am going to fix it up a bit. Not going to put too much into it, not exactly a show boat. I have a 25 johnson tiller steer in the garage for it as well that runs very well.

Looks like a half started restro. Kind of like a Supersport . It had a lot of things on the bow at one time. Trailer???? Looks like it was tiller controlled.

Here is the before and after on the trailer. Cleaned it up a bit and put some new paint on it. As well as the boat with paint on it in the background.

What kind of stuff on the bow? It does kind of look like the supersports but not quite as deep I guess.

As you look at the bow from the front 1- a bow light and on the left side looks like a anttana spot the other holes look like snaps were om there it is shallower kind of like mabey a starcraft bass boat . Somebody will identify it soon.

I am sure the holes in the bow are from a foot controled trolling motor. I can see the hole pattern for the bracket. That also explains the electrical plug on the bow. Side holes were the cleats. I see the signs of a livewell from the in/out plumbing fittings on the port side. Staggered pedistal bases suggest tiller outboard. Someone made themselves a fishing boat:D
Nice project you have there but I don't know if you are going to like a black boat, thats going to get kinda hot in the sun. Good luck and keep them pics coming, Dale

Sorry about the re-post but I noticed the transom has been re-done (?) I don't think I would trust that without checking it real good. That is not original. Looks like splashwell was removed too. Is that an old Willy' I see hiding in the garage? Dale

Nice rig, welcome to the Starcraft fleet.

I think Dale is on the money with his analysis(as usual). Based on the fact that the original trim is still on the bow interior gunwale you can tell it was not a closed bow model.

Looks like there once was a helm console, the bracket is still there, but not on the port side. That means it was probably a side console rig that someone converted to tiller to open up the deck.

Your 25hp tiller will be a decent OB for the boat. I'd convert it back to side console and get a 50hp at some point.

Wow, Thanks everyone for the info.

Once I get the floor boards up is there anything I should look for to see if it was a side console? And are there any good restorations on here for turning it into a side console? Sounds like a lot of $$$.

I got a new Minn Kota trolling motor and Lowrance fish finder. Getting ready to design a new front deck and add a live well among other things.

It isn't a willy, it's actually called an M151 MUTT. Similar but more modern. Right before the humvee's actually.

I don't know my friend, going to side console is going to cost you big time;)
Actually it wouldn't be too bad and most guys prefer a steering wheel to a tiller:). Check out EZ's and HA's threads. They removed and re-installed their consoles so you could get a real good idea of what you may need. Obviously a steering wheel set up, steering cable (you will have to measure this before building) and a motor that is set up for steering cables. All a console is.. a stable platform for the steering wheel, and possibly switches. Cables and wires usually run down the inside gunwale, not the floor, unless you make a center console. Good luck, Dale

Center console a little forward of midship, removable fishing seat on the bow flatform and another in the stern area (base already there). Nice fishing set up! Walk around capability, balance the weight. You could go a few different ways with this. Looks like a great project.

I have the same boat, me and my dad went to a estate auction about 15yrs ago and bought this from an older man who had passed away. Mine has the same green carpet and the original 25hp johnson with pulley steering and electric start. It had 3 seats. 2 fisherman seats in the front and rear. And where your dash and steering wheel used to be it had a small bench seat for the driver which was aslo the live well. I actually just pulled it from my dads today to my house to finish what I started 11 yrs ago when I was 14.

I am 99.9999% sure that this boat is a Starcraft Mariner. I don't know everything but I do own an identical boat. Wouldn't quite classify it as a bass boat although. Peace.

I don't know what you guys are talking about - that boat is clearly from the "Turf Riding" family that SC came out with in the late 60's early 70's....I think there is a Starmada member in Florida who found one too....
