Well, here goes. I'll explain as best I can. With the forward side marker lite plugged in, only 1 tail lite will work, on the right side & nothing else such as the 3 bar. If I unplug the marker lite, all the lites will work., except for the left side tail lite which needs to be replaced. I also have no brake lites or signals. Anyone have any ideas? I have a 4 pin connector.

Usually a ground problem or sometimes the element of a burned out two element bulb sags and touches the remain element. Sends current in directions never intended.

Well, in desperation I got out my Dremel & cut the lens on the taillight {sealed}. I changed the bulb & that lite now works. I will head to wally world tomorrow for a replacement. But no brake or signal lites. There are 2 connectors on the marker lite,so I plugged the wire into the other connector, so now all the lites work except the brake & signals. I tried the 4- ways also, nothing. I'm taking a trip Thurs., & don't have time to rewire these damn lites!

Did they all work before? Did you change something to cause the problem?

Dumb question, I know.. But had to ask.

Trailer wiring is quite simple. Just step back and take one circuit at a time. Don't try and make it worse by thinking about the whole thing at once.

If you got fire on your plug at the tow vehicle, then trace from there. One wire at a time.

I had a similar situation as yours. It turned out to be a factory ****-poor job when they wired the trailer. They had poor un-soldered connections up inside the frame.

I would also suggest getting a set of the LED lights. You might as well since you have to buy a new light anyway. I got mine off EBay real cheap.

H.

First thing everyone should own is a 12 volt test light, if you don’t have one you will be lost from the start. Any auto parts store should have one $4 to $10 range. My 2 cents.
