Sold my 16' c/c Starcraft about 2 weeks ago and had my eye on this '75 S/S 16 listed on Craigslist for a while, just didn't want to drive the 200 miles to see it. Finally decided to make the trip and take a look, and it followed me home. Typical partially rotted wood in seat bases and plywood on front of console, floor seems good though. Needs a good cleaning and eventially maybe paint and interior work. Steering is froze up; it has a '93 Johnson 70hp with t&t that is seized, it'll probably go on Craigslist as a parts motor. I have an '89 50hp Johnson in the garage that's been looking for a home. Don't plan on getting too anxious on it right away, just as I get time. Attached a few pictures, also one sitting next to my Sea Nymph SS150 70 hp, the Nymph is a quick, sleek little boat, but the Starcraft sure is roomier outfit. Oh, priced at $600, figured it was worth that.

Great new rig you have there, really sharp! I think you got a super deal too. Part that motor out and that boat will be a downright steal!! I've been looking for just such a score, well done!

Cheers!

Ya,I think it'll make a nice one when everything is done. I could of swore they told me it had an old Mercury on it, so it was a nice surprise to drive up and see that Johnson hanging on the back, and after checking the numbers to find out it is a 1993 model. I've found out the later ('91 up) OMC Tilt&trim's are called fast track, and go for a pretty penny -- $300 up on e-bay. So should do alright parting that motor out. You just never know what you'll run into, looks like this will turn out to be a pretty good deal. I've read a lot of the restoration threads, I'm sure questions will follow! ;-)
