I have an OMC stern drive I am also trying to identify. Need gimbal bearing, exhaust bellows, etc. The tag on the valve cover states it's

mod. #502APRJUB (this may be incorrect, faded), ser. #T012621BB? (also faded)

On same tag under the top #'s, but looks like an overlay sticker, reads: mod. #987346 and ser. #T00775151. These numbers are very legible.

I appreciate any help.

Re: Another OMC stern drive question.

Great, thanks for the advice. Something else. So I can pretty much be guaranteed that this drive assembly is not the Volvo SX, I have heard about, right? They have a kit on e-bay that gives the seals, bearing, both bellows and some other stuff for the Cobra stern drive, listed to serve 86' thru 93' units. Does this sound like it will be the correct application to my boat?

Just as a warning, not sure who makes the parts but I would be leary about certain brands of bellows. I would probably try to get factory U-joint bellows if possible. I believe they are still available.

Ok, thanks. The hard part is finding anyone who sells OEM parts. Any suggestions?

Re: Another OMC stern drive question.

So I placed the order. They didn't call me back today to tell me they couldn't find anything. Knock on wood. :) Which, with the age of my boat, is a good possibilty. And yes, they were knowledgeable and very friendly. So I would recommend "fast eddies" to anybody in search of all kinds of marine parts. Thanks again to all of you here, I appreciate the help. :D
