due to the way some folks view life nowadays and after seeing how y all respond to other topics heres another IF QUESTION IF YOU COULD ENACT ONE LAW THAT DOES NOT CURRENTLY EXIST WHAT WOULD IT BE??? give it some thought L M VASQUEZ

Thought about that one a lot in my life, TEXSGUNS.<br /><br />Laws, rules and regulations seem to accumulate like garbage. No matter how bad or obsolete they are, they stay around. <br /><br />I would have a new law that required legislative bodies to repeal a bad law for every new one they want to add.

no thought required here... term limits for all!<br />JB, good point on old laws. here in NY, it's<br />Illeagal to buy/sell booze before noon on Sunday.<br />old law designed to keep bars closed during church<br />time. I think it's referred to as a "blue law", <br />but have no idea why???

Mine would have to be "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Not "Do unto others as they do unto you." That would solve many problems , if peoplw would follow it . I just don't know how you would enforce it though. It is too subjective and "open for interpretation". JB, I agree with you too. There are a lot of stupid laws on the books . Maybe a law that requires political correctness to be barred altogether. That way somthing could get done about problems without worrying about "offending" someone .<br /><br />James

Mine would be the "loser pays law". It would stop alot of lawsuits. The loser of the lawsuit would have to pay all the lawyers on both sides and all court costs.

I like JB's idea. No one even knows all the laws on the books. That includes the judges, DAs and police. How can you enforce a law that no one knows about. If it is not being enforced, then it is wasted space and money. The number of laws need to be reduced.

one d.u.i. equals automatic loss of license for 5 years. how many times have you heard about the guy that had 3 d.u.i.'s, still had his license, and killed someone last night...

Any polititian caught stealing, cheating, lying, taking a bribe or presents a pork belly rider that does nothing but help special interest and not the country should be put to death.<br /><br />But I guess if that were law we would have no government! Cause everybody would be dead.<br /><br />Or another one. If you are caught riding in the left lane and you are slower than other traffic. Then a the person behind you has the right to wreck you out of the way and not get a ticket.
