Got a phone call around 1:30AM this morning; let phone go into VM. They called back 10 minutes later. A voice with a unfamiliar accent had some important info for me. I was told that my computer was locked; and any attempt to use or repair would cause my hard drive to crash.. I needed to call a 855#. Got up to let the dog out; picked up the police whistle; went outside on the patio; and with a deep breath continued the conversation. Woke up every dog in the neighborhood. Went back to bed.
Love those telemarketers!
Still using my locked; crashed computer.

Interesting that they call in the middle of the night. Scam artist either are into newer tactics, or don't know the time of day where they are calling.

i like when they spoof numbers from relatives area codes. I simply log the numbers on the FBI site. https://www.fbi.gov/tips

however I doubt anything will be done.

I'm confused...why did you wake up all your neighbors' dogs at 1:30am?
