Well, another bad day in the world of motorsports as Hendrick's Racing jet crashed on it's way to Martinsville, Va. for a race.
The team owner, Rick Hendrick's son, brother and 2 nieces along with 6 others died in the crash in Bull Mountain.

Hendricks owns among other cars, the one Jeff Gordon drives.

A very sad day for the Hendrick's race team and all of motorsports.

Race car drivers and airplanes, just don't seem to go together.

Allan Kulwicki, Davy Allison, were killed, and Jack Roush was almost killed last year!

But, without flying, these people could never meet their commitments, and the sport would be half of what it is today.

My prayers go out the Hendrick family and organization.

Sad day for the Hendrick's and all of racing. From this Mark Martin fan and the whole P/6 family our condolences have been sent .
I wonder how this will all play out with the top people at Hendrick now gone. From the press release you can see these people were not no names in Hendrick Motor Sports.
"Ricky Hendrick (would have taken over the Co), Rick Hendrick's son and also a NASCAR driver; John Hendrick, Rick Hendrick's brother and president of the organization; Kimberly and Jennifer Hendrick; Joe Jackson; Jeff Turner; Randy Dorton, the team's chief engine builder; Scott Latham, a pilot for NASCAR driver Tony Stewart; and pilots **** Tracy and Liz Morrison.
It is going to be a long road to replace these people after the grief is over.

Our condolence to the families of those lost...
I think back at all the things that has happened to the Allison family, the Petty's... the list goes on. It's a terrible shame.

Sometimes bad things happen to good people.
:(
