Another 4.3 GL with water in the oil

Sorry to bring up another thread on this topic but I need some suggestions and ideas. The service manager has diagnosed my 2010 Stingray 205LR 4.GL with a cracked intake manifold.

We put the boat in and about 2 min later the motor cut off and upon looking at the motor it looked like someone dumped a milkshake on the carb and manifold. I knew it was water in the oil so we trailered the boat and brought to service. I looked things over and from what I can see the block is good. The oil /water is contained at the top end.

I read the post by 2010 Upset and it is identical to my issue. I'm thinking about going and doing the intake replacement myself. Any suggestions, input or ideas are greatly appreciated.

I'm worried about not going through the whole rebuild because it's a new boat but someone posted an identical issue that was solved in replacing the intake and several oil changes.

Thanks again everyone.

You may replace the manifold and change the oil until it's no longer milky. Problem is, the ONLY way to know the condition of the engine is to take it apart and inspect it, bearing by bearing. Just no EZ button to look inside the engine.

Don S. thanks for replying. I was going back and forth with the decision and I've choosen to go the safest route and have the motor taken down. We love boating and I don't want to make a mistake by taking the easy way out. I'll chock this as a very expensive lesson learned.
