The Angler is less expensive and lighter , but I've heard it's a solid boat. Does anyone know how they compare in medium to rough water ride, and overall quality ? Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

On the Florida Sportsman forum, one fellow said he previously had a 20'Angler and a 205 Osprey Aquasport and the Angler gave a better ride. Don't know if that would hold true for their 22' models. I do know the 20' and 22' Angler both have the same 17deg. deadrise.

Re: Angler 22 w/a VS Aquasport 215 Explorer w/a

I looked at the Angler when I was shopping last year for my new boat.
Pay attention to the amount of room between the two helm seats. If I remember the Angler is very narrow and you have to turn sideways to walk between the seats. (thats deffinately a downer)
Also note the access to the cabin. Do you have to go down through the hatch to access the stuff in the cabin, or can you reach right it from the deck?

I may be confused with the 21' Angler. As I remember the Angler was narrower than other boats in its class in the helm area. I have also heard that Anglers are build like a puzzle in sections. The 21' and 22' is the same with longer rearend attached.

I find with my HS WA cabin boat I reach into the cabin a lot to grab stuff without acually needing to step in and down like I think the Angler requires. If I had to accually climb into the cabin area every time I wanted to grab a beer out of the cooler, or anything else for that matter would get old real quick.

Other than that I don't recall anything else I didn't like about the Angler. I remember that if I was to pick the Angler it was going to be the 22' at a minimum. It seemed to be a much bigger boat than the 21'.
