Hey everyone!,
I'm wondering what the effect of angleing the transducer so the bottom is pointing in front of the boat??How important is the angle? Will the signal distort or read true as to what we are heading into(fish-wies)Any comments or sugestions??

Re: angled transducer

my thoughts are that since you can get "wideside" xducers that shoot off to the sides, and still get returns, then you would still get a return signal. but i bet it would not be as accurate as straight down...

are you trying it because you lose a signal at speeds, and you thought this would help? (just curious)

Re: angled transducer

hi,
The reason I was trying to angle it forward was to increase the sight in front of me instead of behind.Plus hey if you don't try something new you just never know!
