Well we have been burning wood non stop since Oct 15 to keep the house warm and we finally let it go out yesterday.

We have been able to clean the chimney twice and keep the fire box clean and still keep the fire burning, and I am pretty impressed that we only went through 2.5-3 cord of wood this year.

Temps should be 16-18c/60-65f today, might have to start a fire to keep the chill off this evening (still down to freezing temps), but no need to keep it going in the daytime now.

And whats even better is there is 3.5-4 cord left in the shed for this next winter.

Impressive, my old wood stove will burn out or leave a just few coals in about 6 hours.

I burned about 2.5 cords this year too. Plenty left but time to add to the stock.

Still doing night time fires, might be doing a few more day time fires the next couple days.

They are talking SNOW.:grumpy:

Our old stove did the same, we replaced it with a blaze king - king model with the blower.
Totaly air tight and with the cat converter in it, 75-80% more efficiant, 1/8th the cleaning from the old one.
(full box run time 28-40 hours depending on wood species.)
