Does anyone use these? The pulley system with wenches.....my experience is that they are junk.....the only anchor I can seem to get them to pull are small mushroom anchors. Because of my boat layout I can only mount them horizontally...anyone got any advice on a good anchoring system? I need something that will work fast, be tidy & able to handle 20lb anchors.

Sure - bow mounted power anchors are available. However if you have a bow mounted trolling motor it may need to be re-positioned to make room for the winch.

I wish I could use an electric anchor system....unfortunately, I can't mount them anywhere on my boat. The gunwales are too narrow & too high for me to mount it on the floor or deck. Any experience with the Attwood anchor reins? I'm thinking of trying those, 'cause I can mount them UNDER the gunwales......just wondering how much anchor they could handle tho.
