Anchor Roller Question

I have a 19ft Maxum and it has a roller on the front for the anchor. I think it is missing a little curve bracket on to hold the anchor down. Is there any specific anchor I need for this setup? The current anchor I have is a Danforth style. I think it would be easier to use if I mounted it like that, I just don't want the anchor to fly off at speed and put a hole in the boat.

Thanks,

Re: Anchor Roller Question

You are missing either a SS bolt/pin that goes between the sides of the roller or the U-shaped retainer. It keeps the anchor and rope/chain from jumping off of the bracket.

Re: Anchor Roller Question

Thanks for the suggestion, any idea where I would pick that part up? I am also trying to figure out if there is a special anchor I should use for this.

Thanks,

Re: Anchor Roller Question

Your best bet on finding just that part would be to look into boat salvage yards or find a deal on Craigs List.
