I've still got a few trees with leaves, then the raking begins. I thought the last time I mowed it was for the last time, but no such luck. I started the snow blower though.

And I'm winterizing...the snowblower! As in plug, carb cleaner, fresh fuel, battery, etc. Not so enjoyable.

I bought a snowblower the end of last season. Still haven't gotten it out of the box. Don't think I'll need to for a bit yet.

I bought a big bottle of Sta-Bil last weekend. Not quite ready to call it quits though. Just got the project boat (Crosby) in the water. Trying to hold out as long as I can. Plenty of year-round fishermen here. I personally don't like it when it's cold, but our lake never freezes.

Oh Jenn, did you read what Bob was writing on iboats???? :p;)

Have a few more weeks and a few more cuttings to go ... put 400lbs of lime and 150lbs of 10-20-10 on the yard yesterday, nice rain last night and beautiful day today ... frost this weekend. Hoping the reseeding I did a few weeks ago has enough root growth to make it through the winter ... leaves are looking beautiful, but on the way down now, peak was last week. Had a deer run out in front of the vehicle the other day and we almost hit one with the Rescue Sqad this morning on the way to an accident.

Yep, winter is coming, and almost here. Should have 1 or 2 more lawn mowings before winterizing. Getting the boat ready for rifle season comes right after.

Lake Ontario protects us a little bit, so even though I live almost as far north as it gets we still have around 40% of the leaves still in the trees.

I have a lawn sweeper that I pull behind the mower. The best thing ever!! I just drive to the roadside and pull the rope to dump the bin. I never have to get off of the mower. The town vacuum's the leaves so no bagging either.

My mower is the last thing I winterize. Pool is first, then yard stuff like patio furniture, next is boat, and when the snow hits I rearrange the garage to get cars back in there and do the mower.

Six inches of snow in the yard this morning...GRRRRR! At least it's melting fast. SWMBO has her "I told you so" face on as I try to suck all of the crap out of the fuel tank of the snowblower...
