Today it was sunny and 75. We had a semi-leisurely morning and then took the boat out on the Potomac.

For lunch, we stopped at a little riverfront crabshack and had fresh softshell crab while dining on the patio which over-looked the river. Mud pie for desert. My lab, who was along for the ride, hung out a stones throw from the table.

After lunch, we needed a nap so we boated over to George Washington's estate (Mount Vernon) and anchored just off the cupola. The water was calm with a light breeze, and the estate was amazing, as always.

To end the day we had a lesiurely two hour cruise down the river and then headed back to the dock.

At the dock, we had the usual entertainment of watching some idiot "power load" his 19 foot boat. He only rammed/missed the bow stop about five times before he decided he was on the trailer right. Of course he wasn't and he had to winch it up in the parking lot.

The ride home was uneventful with light traffic. I even got the boat backed in the way I wanted it on the first shot!

We entered the house ready for a light snack and then off to bed. That's when it hit us... My old sheppard (~14 years) had liquid/spraying diarrhea all over the house. It was really an amazing day.
