My wife loves to fish also, but there is no way in H*ll that she would last for 8-10 hrs. hitting it hard. Have you ever fished a tournament before yourself? Putting up with heat, wind, rain, sleat and hail. Unless she is a real trooper she may want to bring a book along.

There are lots of family oriented Bass Clubs around, you should join one and enter the club tournaments, you will meet some great outdoor type people and your wife will meet some more fisherwomen.

Speaking of am tourny's there's one tomorrow, a big bass tournament, at a nearby lake, Ray Roberts, $100 entry, they pay top 10 big bass each hour, plus top 10 overall, and the overall 1st prize is a Skeeter boat. Last three years the boat was won with 1.76 lb or less...it's a 14-24 slot lake, it produces some big 'uns, but nobody's caught an over in this tournament yet. I've never fished that lake, but guess I've got all year to practice for the next one.

Finally got my wife to agree to go fishing with me tomorrow, but she don't tolerate cold too well & it's 55 this morning at sunrise - we'll see how that goes.

Good luck with yours!
