I have a Force 150 with a 19, 3 bladed stainless steel prop. When my motor is running it's best, I go 48 mph, and turn 5800 rpm. Is that too much for my motor. When I bought the boat, the guy said he allway's thought the tach was wrong, but that could be just a line. Should my boat do better than 48 mph. What prop would you guy's suggest. Thank's, Cal

If I remember correctly the reccommended RPM for your motor is 4500-5500 RPM. It might only be 5200 max, can't remember. There is some old threads that have it. I assume your boat is a 20'er by the model, so 48mph with a 150 is pretty good. However if 48 is lightly loaded, at 5800 rpm, when you get a full load, the rpm's should drop down to recommended. If not, then you could probably try a 21" pitch. I'm sure someone with more experience will help out.

Them outboards like to wound up like that. There won't be any chance of lugging the motor that way. Chief ;)
