Always thinking about the 'next' boat . . .

I have been fairly happy with my recent boat purchase, but there is always a 'next' boat that folks (like me) have in mind. I went to the boat show in Boston, MA this past week. I think I might have found it . . .

Technically, this boat is only a foot longer than my current CY 338, but it is a world of difference. Just need to keep saving my allowance

Not sure why they are coming stock w/ just twin 300 HP Verados . . . it seems like 400's would be needed to move this boat. . . 14K lbs

I also eyed the Chappy 280 for @alldodge . . .

The boat show was fairly crowed for a weekday and stuff was selling.

Being an upholstery guy, I also took note of the upholstery on some boats . . . Not so good in some cases. These pics (below) were on a $700K boat

Guess it's what you want to do on a boat . Sideways facing helm seat ? Does you have to pivot it so it faces the steering wheel , Sea Dek instead of non slip solid glass deck ? How long before that lifts ,tears , or fades ? Looks more like a modern bar than boat inside. Give me a classic styled boat older boat any day of the week please . Viking , Bertram , Hatteras ,Ocean Yachts , Tiara etc . These boats are not all cut up with different lines and shaped windows - portholes . Just my opinion ,to each his own .

Seadek is fairly sturdy stuff. I installed on my swim deck in 2018 and have yet to have anything lift. I have a few pieces that are odd shaped and pretty darn small.

That being said, there was, and I can't find it right now, a message about installing it in the cockpit and possibly warping due to being baked by the sun (through the windshield).

The Chappy 280 and 300 OSX helm seat will pivot and lock in either position. Can also get the boat with a fixed helm seat which is a few inches wider and a wet bat behind it. Mine is coming with the pivot seat, don't use the wet bar on my PC

Dont even want to know what the price tag is...would be afraid to use it, wouldnt want to put a scuff mark on it !!
Beautifull but way out of my league, hard to picture blood and fish guts all over that interior !!

My next one as far as preferences would be a Steigercraft Miami 21’ with a single 200 hp OB. Simple & low maintenance. Weighs in at 4700 lbs which is a lot for a 21.

I don't recall that there was a price posted (probably too scary). One of the boat test videos made mention that CY does not even pretend that the GLS could be a fishing boat (no rod holders).

nope, they are pure sofa boats. meant for consuming fuel, and going places in comfort........

I dunno know about that. My wife ripped the SeaRay salesperson a new one when he suggested her fishing pole could reside in the ski locker.

The BW 13 is for the fishing, but with large crowds on holiday weekends, etc, it is all about the sandbar and hanging out on the water.

I just bought my 2019 Blackfin 212CC and am already pricing out a next boat. I am not sure if I want to go to a Blackfin 272CC as my only boat or get a cruiser as a second one. I was thinking a SeaRay Sundancer 320 OB but that is a few years away since before that I want my place on the St Lawerence
