I am just beginning my research to purchase a 25 - 26 foot aluminum boat for overnighting and some fishing offshore in the BC and WA areas. I have looked at the Harbercraft Kingfisher and plan to look at boats from Silver Streak, Lifetimer and Seawolf. What are your thoughts on these manufacturers? Also, what are some other good aluminum manufacturers I should be looking at. Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Alumnium construction seems to be highly favored in the Pacific northwest. Here in the southeast the only al boats are quite small small (excluding the mega yachts). I'm wondering why????

I like the looks of the aluminum boats but cant help to think (as I look at the Seawolf models) how hot those the aluminum gunwales and decks would get.
