aluminum oil pans from tin on a 350 vortec

need advice again.in order to keep the dip sticks inboard on my v drive 350 vortec s,i have to change to my pre vortec aluminum oil pans ,because the dip sticks go into the pans,wearas the go into the engine block when useing the tin pans. the holes in the blocks for the d.s. tubes are on the right side on both engines. so i a nut shell can i use the aluminum pans? swear i read some wear something about you cant use them on either a 2 or 4 bolt mains,one or the outher ?thanks any input will help.

If the pans are from an 86 or later block with 1 piece main seal, yes they should work on your new engines. Vortec only refers to the 96-up cylinder head design, blocks are the same
