I have 99 Volvo Penta SX outdrive. I am replacing my anodes. I use mostly in salt, sometimes brackish water. Current anodes are zinc. Been reading up and found aluminum seems to be the better choice due to its properties. My question is how does the 'aluminum' anode work when it is attached to an 'aluminum' outdrive?
This seems couter productibe since the drive and anodes are the same chemical makeup. Thanks for your input.
