Hello,
I have a 1990 Alumacraft trophy 190 with a 1990 merc 115 (2 stroke) with a 19 pitch prop (48.77346 A40L) which I assume is stock.
The boat tops out at 37mph 2guys and full of fuel (no idea how big the tank is,and can't find anything on-line). Does this speed seem right?
Also boat wants to ride very level at cruise 28-30mph, which causes it to plow through waves (2-3 ft) it just feels like I should be able to trim it up higher.

?? Will a different prop help?? or is it just the nature of this boat?

Thanks for any help

Speed doesn't sound too far off.

So, what happens if you trim it up a little more?

What are you wide open throttle rpm's?

5000 rpm

more trim doesn't lift the bow any higher, as the boat accelerates you can feel the trim lift it but it gets to a point that nothing happens anymore just the revs increase.

Re: alumacraft trophy help

Well, a prop MAY help.

How about a side photo of the boat on the trailer, motor vertical, showing the lower unit and the bottom of the hull.

Something like this, that shows the anti ventilation plate, and its relative height to the bottom of the hull.
