Hello, was wondering if i can get bolts for my boat Alternator at a hardware store?

You sure can.
As long as they are the right size, grade and material.
If you have a place that specializes in fasteners their quality and selection might be better.

Thank you so much been going crazy looking for the bolts and everywhere is expensive. Homedepot has the bolts i need alot cheaper.

I tell everyone to run from "jh" bolts. They have those letters on the head. I work on roller coasters and we had an issue with one of our rides snapping bolts and got a "skidmore" and tested the yield and failure points and they were the worst.

Bolts have grade markings on the heads. They look like tick marks molded into the heads. You will want to match those grades in your new bolts.
Grade 8 bolts are far stronger than grade 2, and more expensive.
Probably for your alternator, grade 5 is sufficient.
