Ive been looking at info on tohatsu 9.8.Im curious the ads say the alternator is an option?Dont most outboards have a charging system?Anyone have an idea how much this option is?thoughts?

Manual start engines do not come with an alternator, unless it is a Honda. Depending on the year of the engine from $80.00 to $149.00.
