Alternator swap

Can I swap the alternator from dead 2.5l to my fresh 3.7l if so what modifications are necessary to do so?

It's going to take a lot of modifications. The 3.7's don't have an alternator as manufactured. If you do, then it's already been modified. It still depends on what kind of alternator you have.
