As long as you're capable of pulling and reinstalling the flywheel (you will want either an air impact driver or a flywheel holder), the rest is pretty straightforward. The alternator coils bolt in under the flywheel, the cable from the coils needs to be routed properly (so it doesn't rub on the flywheel), then connected to the rectifier, which attaches to the block, and then the battery cable runs from the motor to your battery. You will need 1 each: 3AS061280M ALTERNATOR KIT F4/5/6B $141.97, 3H6761600M RECTIFIER KIT 4C/5B/F4A2/5A2/6A2, B $47.32, and 399761300M BATTERY CABLE (1.716M) $34.85. Total shop time of about an hour or less.
