alt wires

i had problems with my alt so i took it off and got a used one finaly (took 5 weeks) well my question is i cant remmber what wire goes were and when i do find that out is there a way to test to see if i have out put ?

Depending on the horse power of your motor,you probably have a generator if it's less than 60 HP. <br /><br />The ring size of the terminals may help you replace them correctly.<br /><br />DHP

gen alt all do the same thing but the terminal sizes are the same jut 2 different colors and 2 termerals on the gen
