Hey everyone, back again. Been chasing an overheat on plane issue from last year. Replaced the water pump base last year but when I put the hose in the pump pipe I see water spraying from the base. Take a look and let me know what you think. As always thank you for all your knowledge.

There is a bleeder hole in the base. That pump has to be either submerged or supplied by pressure to prime. The bleeder hole fills the pump when the outdrive is submerged.

Pulled the base and there is a pin hole drilled in the base. I've changed circulation pump, thermostat, water pump and base, thermostat, transom hose, all parts of the cooling system. It overheats on plan only. Air is entering the system somewhere. Basically conceded to keeping it off plane at this point. Last effort was the water pocket seal today bit the old one looked fine. Can't beat my head against the wall forever.
