I used Sierra it lasted the 3 years - even though you're supposed to change them more frequently than that. I'm ironically waiting for a replacement kit to arrive Saturday; while running on the muffs my step-daughter took my shouts for more water as a request to turn the water off.....

I'm sure you'll get more opinions on this.

I used my Volvo pump for 12 years before I finally decided I better change it. Actually looked pretty good. Boating in freshwater only helps a lot.

It is personal preference, I have used Sierra, GLM and Quicksilver products all with great success. But on Yammy only used Yamaha parts and fluids.

I am a fan of OEM whenever possible. Think of it this way You would really be kicking yourself if your day was ruined due to a failed A/M part that you COULD have replaced with OEM not to mention the cost of possibly having to repair it again due to part failure...and perhaps it could take the whole engine with it. Just my opinion.

On my Alpha I used Sierra impeller kits. I changed it every 2 years and never had a problem. I just did the impeller on the Bravo and used Sierra. The Napa store is just up the road from me and they carry them so it is convenient.

I prefer OEM, but last time used a Sierra, worked fine for 2 years, but is getting changed this off season.

I think it depends on the frequency that you plan on swapping them.
