Alpha One Sterndrive

I recently trailered my boat from Florida to Maryland with the sterndrive in the trailered position (UP). Now I can't get it to return to the DOWN position. Pump resovoir if full. Pump motor operates when pushing trim down button but unit will not go down. When pushing trailer button sterndrive will kick up a little then back. Nothing happens when pushing trim up button (no pump motor operation). Any ideas...???

Sounds like your trim motor is working ok. The trim up switch isn't going to work with the outdrive in the trailer position because of the trim limit switch...this is normal. You're only supposed to trim the motor in small increments up to a maximum angle to increase performance/rpms on the water. This is different than raising the outdrive.<br /><br />As far as it not going down, I would initially try having someone apply downward preassure or even stand on the outdrive while you hit the down button. Maybe someone has some better troubleshooting ideas. Good luck!
