alpha one lower unit in reverse

i removed my alpha one lower unit in reverse, should i still be ok if i keep it in reverse??????????

If the drive was in the trimmed UP position and you try to put the lower back on, it'll slip into forward. Just move the shifter into forward, make sure the intermediate shift-shaft has also moved, and put the lower in forward and put it back on.....

while turning the prop shaft CCW, turn the shift shaft CW....

And make sure the lower shift shaft washer is in place.
