Alpha one Gen II service question.

Hi, I was wondering if I should change impeller since I have my boat service to change the gimble bearing. This all started when I heard some noise if I drop the trim all the way down.
I haven't service the boat for about 3-4 years and didn't know I needed to do it every year . The boat was used only in fresh water. So, I am doing following service since it is out of the water and like to make sure I am not missing anything.
1. Change the engine oil.
2. Change the serpentine belt since it doesn't look so good.
3. Change the plugs.
4. Change drive oil.
5. Change Gimble bearing and Ujoint.
6. Change all the bellows and water hose.

Should I do anything with impeller or missing anything that I should service. Also should I repaint the out drive? If so, what type of paint should I use? Can I use any black paint from auto shop?

Since you are changing the bellows, why not just change the Impeller?

I would... You are already almost there anyway...

Yes, you should service the water pump.

Also, the rest of the yearly tune-up: rotor, distributer cap, idle mixture, choke adj, idle speed, timing, and clean flame arrester. Note: I assumed a carbed engine.

Drive paint: exposed aluminum need a primer, like zinc chromate, otherwise Merc Phantom Black or Rustoleum Black, or black of your choosing. Do not paint anodes.

No, my engine is fuel injection. Is impeller inside lower unit? When I look at parts to buy there are many different parts. I can only buy impeller or the entire kit. What should I buy? The service guy saids I don't need it buy he hasn't open the unit up so I can he know I don't need it.
