I've read through the repair manual and searched online and can't find an explanation that helps me to figure out how to remove the gear oil hose that goes to the bell housing so I can take it off and replace the bellows. Thanks

BERORE you break the plastic transom fitting CUT the hose! It's a 1/4 inch fuel line hose held on with zip ties.

I removed mine last night. It was held on with plastic ratchet-type clamp that was easily opened with small screwdriver, but the hose would not come off the nipple. I ended up making a small slice in the hose so it would come off, and then I snipped the last 1/2" of the hose off. It's still plenty long.

someone broke the plastic nipple that the gear lube hose goes on in the transom. Is this a part that I can replace or....what else can I do?
