Alpha one drive shaft yoke sizes for v8

Hi I have a 2.5 mercruiser mated to a alpha one. If I swap a v6 or v8 small block I would have to change to a 9 1/2 longer yoke driveshaft is this correct or do I use the stock yoke witch is shorter. PleAse need help

What about the bell housing are all mcm motors have sAme bell housing

Ayuh,.... If yer referin' to the Flywheel covers,... Nope,... several different 1s...

All Chevys use the same bellhousin' flange bolt pattern though....
