Hello masters of the Mercruisers. I've come seeking guidance on replacing the oil line that runs from the transom plate to the gimble plate. Mine is cracked and leaking. Is there a good way to do this without removing the gimble plate and bellows?

Thanx in advance,
G

Ayuh,...... Welcome Aboard,...... I wouldn't attempt to change that hose, without pullin' the drive, 'n gimbal housing,......

Though I can tell ya, a 1/4" drive ratchet, various extensions, 'n a quality swivel adapter, will make the job much easier,.....

best pull drive. Besides you should check alignment and grease u joints. u will also need small hands. when replacing lube hose, use special ROUND clamps to secure new hose.

Are you referring to the oil line that runs from the gimbal housing to the bell housing or the through gimbal fitting that either hose attaches to?

I have done this on a Bravo twin. Had to make some special tools and buy the special hose pliers. Make sure you cut the hose first
