Alpha 1 Gen II Shifting question

Last time out when I put my Alpha 1 in forward it made that sound they make when the shift linkage is out of adjustment. Note -I had adjusted at the beginning season. Today when I put into forward it made same sound and this time it sounded like it jump out of gear then I just tried again and everything was fine. I stopped boat and tried again and it was fine. It still made the out of adjustment sound but other that it was fine.

What can anyone tell me about this?

May be the cable is worn out and needs replaced. What year is it?
Instead of just adjusting it so it doesn't make noise, try adjusting it "By The Book"

Yep, you're probably about due for a new cable.

Thanks, can I still use boat for rest of season with way it is? Maybe one more month?

IF you want to take the Chance that you'll need a New Drive by then,.....

Does boat have to be hauled out to do that?

Yes

The drive has to be remover to change the cable
