Alpha 1 Gen 2 lower shift cable installation tap size confirmation

1995 bayliner capri 1952 3 liter 4 cylinder ---- installing new lower shift cable.
I want to put a tap thru the lower shift cable housing....
is this a 1/4" Pipe Thread, Straight Pipe thread ?

many thanks just wanting to get it right

Straight threads. Be sure to watch the video that Achris has on setting the cable after the drive is back on.
