Good Evening,
I'm in the process of installing both the limit switch and the position switch. When tightening the bracket against the transom plate, it goes around both halves of the limit switch cables to make the water-tight seal as they pass through the transom plate. What I'm noticing is that as the 1/4-inch bolt tightens on the plate, it is not flat against the transom plate.
Has anyone done this work recently with the Gen 2 (single bolt and not like the Gen 1, which has two bolts)? Please confirm if the plate remains at a slight angle or flush against the transom plate once the bolt is torqued and the two half gaskets are pressed into the transom plate. For reference, the parts in question are #11 and 12 in the below picture.
