I have a 3.0L with Alpha 1 Gen 2 (Bought 2010) and according to the service manual you're supposed to grease the hinge pins and gimbal bearing?

I looked around but I could not see any zerg fittings or how am I suppose to get the grease into the hinge pins at all.

Could anyone have done it point to the spots or tips? The manual doesn't really make it clear.

Thanks

Ayuh,... I think the 1983, or maybe the 1984 Alpha 1 transom assembley was the Most Grease-able of ALL the transoms I've Ever seen...
I've got 1 on a barge,..
But, anyways,...
Since that time, Grease Zerts have been Disappearing, Quickly...

It's more, 'n more of our Run'er til she pukes mentality...
We're supposed to run'er til it breaks or wears out,...
Then Replace whatever it is...

Maintenance seems to be a dying thing..
Greasing a lost art,... :D

My 2001 alpha 1 Gen 2 has a zerk where B on the picture is. If it's there, you would see it.

Re: Alpha 1 Gen 2 Greasing

Hello,

I think I put too much into the Port side "B" Zerk. Grease came out between the Lower Unit and the Hinge Frame. Anyone know if I probably blew a seal? Maybe it is ok for grease to over flow here?

Thanks
