Alpha 1 Drive Unit Gasket

Hello
My question is when re-installing the drive unit, should you use sealant on the new gasket. When it was removed old gasket didn't look like anything had been used. I removed unit to replace u-joints,there were no signs of water. Just wondering.

I put the gasket dry, but use some bellows adhesive on the large black round gasket that goes in the bellhousing, and the water passage O-ring, so they stay put as you reinstall the drive.
