alpha 1 drive or tilt

hey everyone...have another problem the tilt wont lower or the drive wont lower still a newbie so bare with me....when i hit the button to lower unit it just clicks...when pressed to go up nothin...oil in plastic container is milky...2nd question have ear muffs hooked up to hose water running on lower unit and it is getting hot.200 to 220 hot.....any help would be greatful thanks..p.s...i have 3.0L mercruiser 140 horsepower....

If the oil is milky you got water in it... Which is not supposed to be...<br />Check to make sure water is circulating thru the engine with muffs on and running....<br />you should be able to take off a hose somewhere on the engine and see if water is flowing out...<br />Do you have thru hull exhaust or thru prop???

still have to change fluid in container for lowering lower unit...got it down but nothing to bring it up no noise nothing......now for exhaust come throw prop i see water coming from there....with muffs on
