I?m about to pull the trigger on my first bowrider. We are a family of 3 (wife & daughter' she's 11) So I'm think average load is 5 and maybe 8 on a holiday weekend. This is my first runabout (driven many)' owned others.

I?m pretty close to purchasing a 2004 Caravelle Interceptor 232 (350Mag, Bravo I, Swim Plat, 105Hrs, 22K)

I?m looking for a boat capable of 55-60 MPH, just for the heck of it. Doesn?t have to be the fastest boat on the lake, but I do love a little speed. Are there any other boats I should consider before purchasing the Caravelle? Looking to spend no more that 26K and no older than 2004.

There are a lot of boats out there that'll fit in that price range. Check out craigslist, lots of marinas list used boats on there in real good shape. There is actually a 2007 stingray here in jersey for $14000 I've had my eye on. Just make sure you shop around
