I see great value in allowing thread owners the opportunity to update his/her older posts containing photobucket hostage images.

go from this:

to this:

Is this something that's already in the works? If not, can it be?

any one can edit their old posts. simply flag the post for the mods, type in a note, and when they allow you access to edit, you get a PM.

I do it all the time.

Not to the best of my knowledge, currently theres a short edit window to correct typos/errors found just after posting, but not a year later.

is it possible to open just a single user's topic for edits a year later?

Scott Danforth - You sure? Not in this forum, maybe another one.

classiccat - I can edit any post in the forum, so I tried tried to edit the few PB pics I had in early threads when PB went to a ripoff scheme. I had to give up. I can't imagine you trying with all the rebuild pics you have.

I still post a lot of pics, but no photo hosting site or cloud services are used. PB burned me and all of us all across the WWW.

jbcurt00 , GA_Boater . I have PM'd mods in the past to change pics when photobucked went PHLBBBBTTTTTTTT the first time around. Maybe things have changed, colonel_sanders would have to answer. I have also PM'd mods to make simple changes

PB was the second photo hosting site I have used that went PHLBBBBTTTTT, the first being Webshots.

When PB first kicked us in the butt, we temporarily removed the edit time restriction. Before or after that time, only a Mod could or can edit text or make any pic change.

The one hour edit after posting is a global setting and there is no way to remove it on an individual basis.
