Camping with Scouts close to Allegheny Reservoir. Looking to see if anyone can share local knowledge of Allegheny Reservoir or point me towards a chart/fishing map so I can get an idea of what to expect.
Go there alot - just google and you'll find a map. As you know there is very little development on it - the water is great and I hear the campgrounds are nice too. Fishing might be tough as the water is warm - but kids are not looking for the super lunkers,
Thanks. I appreciate the information. I was looking for charts to see about depth - any unexpected shallow areas. I think a spin around once with the depth finder will help with that.
Can't think of any real surprises anywhere so long as you're not tight to shore or whooping it up in the back of a bay. Biggest hazard on Kinzua is the "floaters" after a bunch of rain. Seen slicks of stuff that would rip a sturdy hull to shreds if not seen in time.
