All you need are these little pills

Last night I went to a multi-level marketing pitch as a favor for a friend. He knows that I am in the engine and fuel biz and thought I could help him. He got these pills, that he has been putting in his gas tank, and he swears have improved his mileage from 18.5 to over 22. I researched these little babies here:<br /><br />www dot biofuelsolutions.mybpbiz.com<br /><br />Where I got to read really cool stuff like this:<br /><br />"And we will pay for your dream vacations, your dream car and your dream home, just for helping us spread the word !"<br /><br />And this:<br /><br />"The gas pills have the property of modifying the physical state of these fuels, accelerating the breaking of molecular connections."<br /><br />So, I sat through this presentation that focused on all the money they were all gonna make. At the end I simply asked "why is there no data?". Everybody mumbled for a minute or two and the head guy said something about Herbal Life, and then I said something about ethics that got a giggle, and then the darnedest thing happened. 8 or 9 people, including my friend, plunked down $499 for their "Manager" positions and two bottles of pills (that will ship later). I am pretty sure these people are going to make a ton of money, because they are going to have similar meetings and there will be others that will plunk down their $499 while sipping from the same Koolaid. Thoughts?

If the world wasn't full of people happy to pay much more than things are worth for no good reason, I'd be living in a cardboard box. All you have to remember to make money is: People, in general, are stupid.<br /><br />Years ago when I first started hosting websites my business plan was basically to offer the same products and service as other companies, for cheaper. It didn't work. Everybody thought it must be cheap for a reason. I raised the prices to near ridiculous levels...and bought a house. Now they think it must be good 'cause it's expensive.

QC, "why is there no data"...............it's classified <br /><br />Either that or the company have reverse engineered some of spinners little friends technology and are sworn to secrecy?<br /><br />I did however read a report recently (I'll go digging if you're interested) about the benefits of adding very small amounts of acetone to the gas tank and the improvements it made to mileage and power etc etc. I haven't seen it debunked yet but I reckon it's just very basic chemistry.<br /><br /><br />Ps, when do your pills arrive?

ACETONE does work, it will increase power and fuel mileage, the pill?????

For some, the American Dream seems more of an American Miracle. For some, if you aren't living like the richies in the tabloids and on tv, then your life isn't complete and you are a failure.<br /><br />The only way someone would lay down that money is simple, pure, desperation. Their dillusion of grandure has tainted their ability for rational thought in making a business decision.<br /><br />Get rich quick, although a cliche, is alive in the hearts of wannabe millionaires. Amazingly, some will make their million dollars, on people like your friend. He's helped somone reach their dream, too bad it's not himself.

As I've posted before, Back in the 70's I bought all of those "fuel saving" devices that you attached somewhere on the engine.<br />I had to pull over every 20 miles or so and siphon the excess gas from the tank.

Beware folks, that stuff doesn't really work! I saw a news report last week about the exact same pill. A university of Kentucky chemistry professor did a chemical analysis of the pill and the main compound is what you would find in moth ball. They put the pill in a big glass beaker full of gas and left it for 24hrs. The pill disolved but left all kind of junk on the bottom that will clog your fuel filter to hell. They interviewed an old mechanic/race car builder, he said back in the 70's people would put moth ball in gas to increase the octane level. On the bottle there is a disclaimer that says "we do not guanrantee anyone any result"
