But do you think after this years hurricane season the people who doubt global warming exists might consider it more closely?<br />I'm not a meteorologist, but from what I understand, they are caused by warm Ocean temperatures.

There is controversy about global warming, not so much that there may be warming but what causes. I suspect that you are suggesting that it is caused by us, humans. that is where the controversy is. There are scientists on both sids of the agrument and they may never agree. I am on the side of natural events.

1-3 degree warmer water in the gulf is not going to make all of these hurricanes. Use your head <br />And check how many hurricanes there weere in the 30's through the 60's.... Maybe they had to many greenhouse gasses back then but then the polution rate suddenly went down for the 70's 80's and 90's..... yeah thats it!!!<br />THats what I'm putting my money on.

This Hurricane activity is statistically normal. There is no link to GW (George Bush, George Washington or Global Warming).<br /><br />Global warming does exist and has existed over and over and over and over with periods of global cooling to match each one.
