After a week and a half of putting up cultured stone on the front of the house we have moved right in to replacing the carpet. I don't know how mortal man does this kind of thing while working a normal work week. I am exhausted and we have two more days of moving things around to accomodate the carpet installer.

This is a 3300 sq ft house, mind you and, and we are recarpeting 80% of it. This is a house we have lived in and accumulated in for nigh unto 20 years. Mrs. Boomyal has been hounding me to do this for the last half dozen years. I knew what it would be like and do not hesitate to tell her that this was her idea. She is exhausted too.

Once the carpet is done we have to paint the remainder of the house interior. I already wore myself out painting the first third. It took four whole days just to prep and paint the living room and almost a week to do the kitchen.

I guess you can pay someone to do it all but I guess I'd rather be tired than bankrupt.

I had the painters climbing all over my house today. Sure got sweaty sitting out in the sun watching them with a beer. :)

Be sure to have a couple for me Zm.:D If I partook in the middle of the day, I'd just fold up. 'sides, I just this morning determined that while all the furniture is out, I'd better prep and spray all the base, window and door casing moldings, otherwise I'd have to move all this stuff again.:(
