Howdy......I am still preparing to restart a '95 OceanRunner 225 after 2 years in storage. This dictated breaking down the carbs. I had all 6 kits ready. The crazy thing is.....other than discolored gas and a little bit of solid sediment in 3 of them, these carbs were spotless! The previous owner said he put some Stabyl in before the last shutdown, but he doubted it would protect them this long. So did I.
I went ahead and cleaned with carb spray and flushed with iso-alcohol, like the manual said, and put them back on. After I change the impeller, I'll find out how they work.
BTW.....the low-speed screws were all around 5 turns. My OMC manual says start at 2-1/2 turns.?! I don't get that one.
