Alignment - Have it done or do it myself

I am replacing my 89 454 Bravo 1 and know I need to align the motor and outdrive.

Should I buy the alignment tool and do it myself or pay the local shop to do it?

I have noticed Don and others indicating to test the alignment more often than I have, and I know the previous owner did?

I like to pull the outdrive annually for in garage storage.

Thoughts, experiences?

or pay the local shop to do it?

NO don't pay to have it done. 1 time will pay for your alignment bar.
